EA Motive’s remake of the first Dead Space entry was met with near-universal acclaim. Critics praised it for its intoxicating atmosphere, quality-of-life improvements, meaningful difficulty options, and reworked Zero-G sections, among other qualities. Dead Space was also lauded as one of the best-looking games of 2023. Its overall level of acclaim is reflected in its “Mighty” rating on OpenCritic, derived from 181 professional reviews with an average score of 89 and a near-flawless 97% recommendation rate. Three and a half years following its launch, the game also boasts over 30,000 “Very Positive” user reviews. All of those metrics point to Dead Space as one of 2023’s best games.
Dead Space Drops to New All-Time Low Price as Part of EA’s Steam Summer Sale 2026
The latest Dead Space Steam discount went live on June 18, launching as part of the 2026 edition of Electronic Arts’ summer sale on Valve’s storefront. The promotion lowers the survival horror game to $5.99, 90% off its regular price. Dead Space has received more than two dozen increasingly steep Steam discounts since release, but this marks the first time it has fallen to $5.99. The new all-time low undercuts the previous best offer by $3.
