Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth released on April 27, 2026 for the Nintendo Switch and Steam. Based on the popular Moomins franchise by Finland-Sweidsh author Tove Jansson, Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is a cozy puzzle game that blends point-and-click adventure sensibilities into a story-driven game that perfectly captures Jansson’s eccentric world and characters.

Physical Copies of Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth are Now Available for Pre-Order

Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is officially available for pre-order on the iam8bit website from now until June 29, 2026 and September 28, 2026 for select editions. While the game originally only released for Nintendo Switch and Steam, Moomintroll will be launching on PlayStation 5 alongside the physical release. Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth will retail for $29.99 for both PS5 and Nintendo Switch. The retail version comes with the game on disc and cartridge, a digital download of the soundtrack, and two Kiss Cut Sticker Sheets featuring characters from the game in Jansson’s iconic art style.

Hardcore Moomin fans will want to get their hands on the Collector’s Edition release, however. Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth Collector’s Edition is priced at $74.99 for Switch and PS5. Along with including the game, the two sticker sheets, and a digital download for the game’s OST from the retail release, Moomintroll‘s Collector’s Edition comes with an official Moomin tote bag, a keychain, two premium enamel pins, and a whopping 172-page hardcover art book that offers fans a deep dive into Winter’s Warmth‘s development and art direction.
