Overwatch Reveals Twitch Drops For Reign of Talon Mid-Season 1 Update

Overwatch just revealed three separate Twitch Drop campaigns taking place between now and Season 2, which grant rewards including Loot Boxes, Battle Pass Tier Skips, and cosmetics. Fans who watch Overwatch streams on Twitch during these three campaigns can score these free in-game bonuses without even opening the hero shooter.

The mid-Season 1 update for Overwatch Reign of Talon officially went live on March 10, bringing with it some balance adjustments for several characters. What’s more, it also began the Overwatch x Nier: Automata collaboration, introduced the Hop Online! Mythic Mei skin, and scheduled several events, including the Underwatch April Fools’ Day game mode, Junkrat’s Loot Hunt, and the Season 1 Competitive Drives.

Overwatch Just Gave Players Even More Reasons to Log In Throughout March

Blizzard gives fans some huge reasons to log into Overwatch in March, just in case the massively successful Reign of Talon Season 1 wasn’t enough.

Three Overwatch Twitch Drops Between Now and Season 2

Now, to celebrate the second half of Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 1, Blizzard has scheduled not one, but three different Twitch Drop campaigns. The first, which is live right now, provides three Loot Boxes and a Ramattra spray. Then, two more campaigns scheduled for March 13 and April 9 will offer some additional cosmetics, Battle Pass Tier Skips, and Competitive Points. Following these steps will allow viewers to maximize their rewards during these campaigns:

  • Connect Battle.net and Twitch accounts
  • Watch Overwatch streamers on Twitch during the following time periods to earn rewards:

    • March 10–April 5 (7 hours)
    • March 13–15 (8 hours, only select streams qualify, including the Collegiate Playoffs)
    • April 9–13 (10 hours)
  • Once complete, claim rewards from the Twitch Drops inventory
  • Rewards will automatically appear in Overwatch

Overwatch Mid-Season 1 Update Twitch Drops

  • March 10–April 5

    • 15 minutes: Ramistletoe Ramattra Spray
    • 1 hour: Loot Box
    • 3 hours: Loot Box
    • 7 hours: Epic Loot Box

The first Twitch Drop, live from now through April 5, is in celebration of the Overwatch mid-Season 1 update. Players who watch any Overwatch streamers on Twitch for seven hours will claim two Common Loot Boxes, one Epic Loot Box, and the Ramistletoe Ramattra Spray.

The Ramistletoe Spray was actually originally designed with community input during a special Q&A with Overwatch game director Aaron Keller just before the holidays in 2025. Featuring the Null Sector leader in a Christmas scarf and reindeer antlers, fans can now pick up this spray after watching streams for only 15 minutes.

Overwatch Collegiate Spring Playoffs Esports Twitch Drops

  • March 13–15

    • 30 minutes: Battle Pass Tier Skip
    • 1 hour: Ramattra, Zenyatta, and Bastion Spray
    • 3 hours: Battle Pass Tier Skip

    • 6 hours: Battle Pass Tier Skip
    • 8 hours: Orisa and Zenyatta Namecard

The second set of drops will be held from March 13–15 during the Overwatch Collegiate Spring Playoffs esports event. Watching a total of eight hours during this time will unlock a Spray, Icon, and Namecard featuring the Omnic heroes of Overwatch enjoying spring together, as well as three Battle Pass Tier Skips.

Unlike the other two Twitch Drop campaigns, fans will need to watch specific Overwatch streams, including the official ow_esports channel, to earn these rewards.

  • April 9–13

    • 2 hours: 100 Competitive Points
    • 4 hours: 100 Competitive Points
    • 6 hours: 100 Competitive Points
    • 8 hours: 100 Competitive Points
    • 10 hours: 100 Competitive Points

The third and final set of Twitch Drops will arrive on April 9–13, coinciding with the Competitive Drives for Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 1. Players will be awarded 100 Competitive Points for every two hours of Overwatch they watch on Twitch, for a total of 500 Competitive Points after 10 hours.

Season 2 of Overwatch’s Reign of Talon storyline begins on April 14, bringing with it a new hero, a Switch 2 port, further balance adjustments, a reworked Antarctic Peninsula map, and much more. There will almost certainly be another Twitch Drop campaign to celebrate the next update, so fans can expect the freebies to keep on coming throughout the spring.
