As Pokémon and Lego’s collaborations continue, the block-building company has asked fans to create mock-ups of possible Trading Card Game-based kits to add to the selection. After hundreds of submissions, the fan-voted contest is down to the final five picks, each of which includes a Pokémon popping out of a card. Frankly, the finalists all look so good I don’t know which one to vote for. Any of them would look great on your shelf.
Four of the finalists feature pretty popular Pokémon mainstays: Arceus, Rowlet, Gyarados, and Mew. Joltik has also managed to crawl its way into this stage of the contest, despite being arguably the most obscure of the group, but that proposed design is just as cool as the rest of them, so the little bug can hang. Each set feels like it’s harkening to the dynamic art seen in a lot of modern Pokémon cards that make it look like Pokémon are jumping out of the frame and into the world. Pokémon Trading Card Pocket has some digital “immersive” art that also plays up this idea, with entire worlds in the art for players to scroll through. It’s a neat effect, and it looks very cool in Lego sets.

If you want any of these to see the light of day, you’ll need to create a Lego account to vote for them. I won’t sway you one way or another, but I will say the one of Arceus, the god of the Pokémon universe, emerging from a spacey void is pretty sick.
