The Blueshift Big Band’s Joystick Jazz series is back with a new installment courtesy of iam8bit. Crossing over Final Fantasy, Pokémon, DuckTales, and Sonic the Hedgehog in one musically-charged release, Joystick Jazz: The Blueshift Big Band Plays Iconic Video Game Hits (BONUS LEVEL) is now available for order on the iam8bit website, featuring remixes of hit songs from all four franchises.

With songs from Pokémon Red & Blue, Capcom’s NES Ducktales video games, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Final Fantasy VII, Joystick Jazz: The Blueshift Big Band Plays Iconic Video Game Hits (BONUS LEVEL) collects four of the most iconic songs in video game history into one jazz-filled, vinyl release. On top of that, iam8bit has restocked Volume. 1 of Joystack Jazz for video game music lovers who want to revisit their favorite games in style.

Retailing at $31.99, Joystick Jazz: The Blueshift Big Band Plays Iconic Video Game Hits (BONUS LEVEL) Vinyl Soundtrack is now available for purchase on the official iam8bit website, remixing hit songs from four of the best NES, Game Boy, Sega Genesis, and PlayStation 1 games ever made.

Side A of the release includes a remix of Pallet Town from Pokémon Red & Blue, and The Moon Theme from Ducktales, both arranged by Richie Palys. Side B features Casino Night Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with an arrangement by Sam Wolsk, and Aerith’s Theme from Final Fantasy VII, arranged by Ariel Glassman. All four tracks come together for a vinyl release roughly over 20 minutes in length that pays tribute to four of the most beloved songs in video game history.

On top of Joystick Jazz: The Blueshift Big Band Plays Iconic Video Game Hits (BONUS LEVEL) Vinyl Soundtrack’s release, iam8bit has reissued Joystick Jazz: The Blueshift Big Band Plays Iconic Video Game Hits Vinyl (Jazz Green Edition). Volume 1 of Joystick Jazz includes songs from Banjo-Kazooie, Mega Man 2, the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Donkey Kong Country, and an entire suite dedicated to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

At roughly 40 minutes in length, the track list for Joystick Jazz: The Blueshift Big Band Plays Iconic Video Game Hits Vinyl (Jazz Green Edition) includes Treasure Trove Cove from Banjo-Kazooie (arrangement by Neil Carson), Flash Man from Mega Man 2 (arrangement by Richie Palys), Marble Zone from Sonic 1 (arrangement by Neil Carson), and DK Swing Island from Donkey Kong Country (arrangement by Richie Palys).

Arranged by Neil Carson, the Ocarina of Time suite features remixes of the game’s intro and fanfare theme, Kokiri Forest, the Song of Storms, Gerudo Valley, the Temple of Time, the game’s Boss Fight theme, and Hyrule Field in a 13-minute long love-letter to the greatest video game ever made.
