Pokemon Pokopia has just received a new update for April 22, 2026. This latest Pokopia patch (titled “Update 1.0.4”) adds a highly requested feature for Pokemon Centers, and brings a wealth of bug fixes to the cozy Pokemon life-sim.
Co-developed by Pokemon franchise creator Game Freak and Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force, Pokemon Pokopia made a sizable impact when it launched on March 5. Along with earning a Top Critic Average of 90 on OpenCritic to become one of the platform’s highest-rated games of the year so far, Pokemon Pokopia quickly became a commercial smash hit, selling over 2 million units worldwide in just four days. Despite being a very polished product right out of the gate, Pokopia has received a total of three post-launch updates, including this latest one. These updates have focused primarily on fixing any bugs that may affect the player experience, as opposed to adding any new content.

Pokopia’s Latest Update Adds Long-Requested Pokemon Center Feature
While Pokemon Pokopia‘s latest update (as detailed on the Nintendo Support website) certainly follows in its predecessor’s footsteps and focuses predominantly on rectifying bugs, it has added one feature that many fans have been asking for. In Pokopia‘s 1.0.4 update, players have been given the ability to relocate their Pokemon Centers while an in-game event is underway. Before this patch, players would need to wait for an in-game event to wrap up before they could move their Pokemon Center structures, but now they can move them freely whenever they’d like.
Another handful of Pokemon Center-related tweaks have come in this latest Pokopia patch. This update has fixed an issue where rebuilding a Pokemon Center during an in-game event would occasionally cause its decorations to float in midair. This update has also fixed an issue where trades could not be conducted at Pokemon Centers on Cloud Islands during an in-game event. Another issue where accessing a Pokemon Center PC would sometimes cause the game to freeze has been fixed in this update.
An assortment of Bleak Beach-related fixes have also been issued in this April Pokemon Pokopia patch. A progression issue with the “Wanted: Food!” request has been resolved, as has an issue with the “Pool repair needed!” request where performing certain actions would prevent the mission from starting. Another glitch related to this mission has also been fixed in this latest update, one where Happiny would refuse to accompany the player, preventing progress.

For instance, a bug that caused Professor Tangrowth to stop appearing has been ironed out, as have a range of progression-related bugs tied to quests involving Peakychu, Chef Dente, and Tinkmaster. A rather annoying bug where picking up a Pokopia relocation kit would sometimes leave indestructible platforms behind has also been fixed.
