Pokopia Player Builds Incredible Maximum Security Prison

Pokopia Player Builds Incredible Maximum Security Prison

Players have found plenty of unexpected ways to keep themselves entertained with Pokemon Pokopia, building anything and everything from humble cozy caverns to massively sprawling mansions. One fan in particular has caught the attention of Pokemon Pokopia online community members for their surprisingly dark yet hilarious maximum security prison, which houses exactly one pocket monster that is frequently on audiences’ list of most suspicious Pokemon.

When Nintendo first unveiled Pokemon Pokopia, many were skeptical of the massive divergence from the battle gameplay and creature leveling mechanics that have dominated the series since it first debuted. Luckily, general worries were quickly laid to rest when Pokemon Pokopia launched to widespread praise from critics and audiences alike. Players have applauded the adorable graphics, relaxing atmosphere, and extensive customization and building tools in Pokemon Pokopia. The open-ended design features have proven to be especially amusing for fans, with some bringing their truly out-of-the-box ideas to life in Pokopia.

Pokopia Player Builds Spirited Away Bathhouse

An incredibly talented Pokemon Pokopia player shares a look at their jaw-dropping recreation of the bathhouse from Spirited Away.

Maximum Security Prison in Pokemon Pokopia

Reddit user Grizzbits shared a brief video of their incredible maximum security prison in Pokemon Pokopia. The sprawling facility boasts shuttering metal doors that open up to an elevator that then leads down to the underground portion of the facility. A huge security room features dozens of monitors showing live video feeds of the imprisoned criminal, which just so happens to be none other than the nefarious Pokemon Mr. Mime. Running past rows of work desks, the security guard Ditto then heads through a set of sliding glass doors and on to a hallway filled with a series of shuttering metal doors, this time requiring a clearance scan for entry beyond each blockade. Security guard Ditto is then greeted by a chillingly kind Mr. Mime, who mockingly declares that his custom-made prison “looks like a nice place.”

While the exact reason for his imprisonment is not known, the double plexiglass walls surrounding Mr. Mime, coupled with the dozens of cameras and spotlights suggest that the pocket monster has committed a heinous crime to deserve such a sentence. Some believe he was locked up for simply being too creepy, while others speculate that he may have used his masterful escape tactics to commit grand larceny. One comment under the original Reddit post likened the prisoner Mr. Mime to Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs, though there have not yet been any public accusations of Mr. Mime being a cannibal. There has also been no word if Mr. Mime will have any chance at parole, though the other Pokemon in Pokopia may prefer the clown be kept in lock-up, as crime is no laughing matter.

Jokes aside, the maximum security prison is an impressive custom build, mirroring other unique design ideas in Pokemon Pokopia. From pop culture recreations to one-of-a-kind creations, it should come as no surprise that players are continuing to find new ways to put the customization tools of Pokemon Pokopia to the test. Interested fans can stay tuned for more fun community shares, as well as any news on official updates coming to Pokemon Pokopia.
