Another month is on the horizon, which means it’s time for another wave of games to be removed from the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium plans, with 12 games on the chopping block for July 2026. PS Plus continually offers free games for its Extra and Premium subscribers, adding and removing titles month to month, with a recent change in June 2026 that drastically changed how these games are delivered throughout the month.
Sony typically delivers its PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games in bulk each month, letting fans binge whatever games they want as soon as they drop; however, a big change has just hit the service. Starting in June 2026, PS Plus free games will be staggered in weekly waves, with two games dropping each Tuesday of the month. However, it seems like the games that rotate out of the service will remain on the same schedule, leaving all in one go once a month.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have a month as of this writing to play the twelve titles above, which are slated for removal from the service by late July 2026. While this time around it’s mostly a slew of smaller, niche games leaving PS Plus Extra, that doesn’t mean that some good games worth playing aren’t getting removed. Risk of Rain 2 remains one of the best roguelike games that fans can play with friends, while Tropico 6 is a solid political sim game that is sure to swallow up any player’s free time. Meanwhile, smaller titles like the underrated Get Even are worth checking out for any fans of psychological thriller games, and Cursed to Golf is a hilarious golf-based roguelike that is definitely worth a look.

There is still no word on what games are coming down the pipeline for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers in July 2026, but June has seen a solid lineup of new games hit the service. Final Fantasy 16 just hit PS Plus Extra on June 16, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance is releasing on June 23, which is sure to make RPG fans very happy. Later in the month, Farming Simulator 25 lands on PS Plus on June 30, just in time for players to beat the summer heat like a farmer but virtually instead of outside.
There were some notable removals from PS Plus Extra in June that have left fans pretty upset. Rockstar’s landmark Red Dead Redemption just left PS Plus after a lengthy tenure on the service, but it always rotates in and out of the Extra and Premium catalog with GTA 5, so it could be back on the service before long. Meanwhile, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game and We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie have also left PS Plus, which will disappoint those games’ dedicated fanbases.

Looking even further ahead, there are some pretty huge games already announced for PS Plus later this year. Sony recently announced Big Walk is coming to PS Plus Essential alongside Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams in August. After that, Runescape: Dragonwilds hits PS Plus Extra in September, which should satisfy co-op gamers. PlayStation Plus subscribers should keep an eye out for whatever new games are announced for the service in the month of July.
