As the Pokemon franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary, one of its most iconic designs is getting a makeover. Pokemon fan favorite Snorlax is getting a new design that fans can check out right now.
Snorlax was first introduced as a Generation 1 Pokemon, meaning it has been present since the very beginning. A lot of the most popular Pokemon come from Gen 1, and it makes sense. Fans have had 30 years to get familiar with these designs, making them mainstays of the franchise. Snorlax is particularly popular thanks to its endearing, round shape, meaning fans will always be interested in any new redesigns.
Snorlax Joins Enso Rings Pokemon Collection
Enso Rings has officially announced its new Pokemon Snoozing Snorlax ring, putting a fresh spin on a classic design. The ring is a cobalt blue color, with a sleeping Snorlax featured on the side, as well as “starry-night details.” It’s described by Enso Rings as “a fun nod to the sleepy Pokémon known for resting, relaxing, and enjoying life at its own pace.”
The ring is made of medical-grade silicone and is built for comfort. It’s priced at $44.99 and comes in tons of different sizes, meaning there’s a Snoozing Snorlax for just about everyone. The fan-favorite Pokemon joins Enso Rings’ wider collection, which includes new designs for Pokemon like Mewtwo, Pikachu, and Charmander, among many others.

It’s always fun to see a fresh spin on a classic design. Snorlax has been around for 30 years, and almost everyone knows exactly what it looks like. It’s these older Pokemon that really need a redesign to keep them feeling fresh. And while many fans do their own Pokemon redesigns regularly, there’s something special about seeing an official take on them, especially with an item fans can purchase and bring home for themselves.
It’s been a big year for Pokemon as it celebrates its 30th anniversary. There have been tons of new releases, including Pokemon Pokopia, the series’ first attempt at a life sim à la Animal Crossing. It’s a shame that Game Freak wasn’t able to mark the occasion by releasing the long-awaited Pokemon Gen 10 this year, but if it needs more time to make Winds and Waves the best they can be, then it will be worth it.
