They ran the gaming section over at The Sun for three years, and has also written articles for GamesRadar+, IGN, GAMINGbible, Siliconera, and VGIM to name a few. When they are not obsessing over their one true love, the PlayStation Vita, you can find them checking out the latest JRPG, visual novel, or unique indie game. With a background in languages, and ten years spent living in Japan, you can also find them diving deep into French, German, and Japanese language games and research.

Elias Toufexis, the actor who plays the Assassin in Bungie’s extraction shooter Marathon, has spoken out about the backlash the game has received on social media following the announcement that Destiny 2 will soon receive its final update. Bungie launched Marathon in March 2026, nine years after its last game, Destiny 2. While the studio and publisher moved its resources to its newest game, fans have been upset that it will lead to the end of updates for Destiny 2, which still hosts a robust online player base.

In a conversation with PC Gamer, Toufexis spoke out about the criticism Marathon has received since Bungie announced that live-service updates for Destiny 2 will end in June. The actor, who has worked in the gaming industry since 2006, says he welcomes criticism of Marathon on its own merits, but decrys the backlash caused by changes to Bungie’s other live-service game. “I understand Bungie made a game, Destiny 2, that people loved,” Toufexis says. “And then they kind of were like, ‘We’re gonna put that on hold, and we’re gonna work on Marathon.’ People got upset about that. Cool, don’t play Marathon. That’s fine, speak with your wallet, that’s fine.”
