Steam Spring Sale 2026 is Officially Kicking Off This Week

The Steam Spring Sale begins on March 19, bringing new deals for gamers to check out. Like previous years, the sale is expected to offer deep discounts on a variety of Steam games, with the company already teasing some things to look forward to.

It is no secret that Steam is a titan in the PC gaming space. The Valve-owned platform has millions of monthly active users, acting as a hub for gamers to purchase and play their favorite titles. In addition, thousands of new games are added to Steam each year. While the level of quality varies, many of the most popular AAA and indie titles are regularly added to the digital distribution platform. Fortunately, Steam frequently holds sales, allowing fans to purchase games at a considerable discount.

New Co-Op Game on Steam Sees Players Try to Survive and Outrun a Tornado

A wild new co-op indie game coming to Steam takes a group of players and puts them right in the path of a giant oncoming tornado.

Steam Spring Sale 2026 Starts on March 19

Recently, Valve teased its next major sale for Steam. In a trailer, the company announced that the Steam Spring Sale would run from Thursday, March 19, at 10 AM PT until Thursday, March 26, at the same time. As one of Steam’s seasonal sales for 2026, players should be able to save some money on a variety of games. In particular, the trailer revealed games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Resident Evil 3, and many more would have their prices significantly reduced as part of a “Deep Discounts” section on the storefront.

The Steam Spring Sale teaser also featured other games that will get discounts during the event. For example, gamers will be able to save on Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky, which recently won Best Ongoing Game at The Game Awards 2025. There were also various indie games teased for discounts, such as RV There Yet, Terraria, and Dave the Diver. Meanwhile, AAA games like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which received a third-person update on December 5, will be featured during the 2026 edition of the Spring Sale. The full list of games featured in the trailer can be found below:

  • Satisfactory
  • RV There Yet?
  • Manor Lords
  • DAVE THE DIVER
  • No Man’s Sky
  • Phasmophobia
  • Pathologic 3
  • The Outlast Trials
  • YAPYAP
  • ROUTINE
  • Strange Antiquities
  • A Little to the Left
  • Euro Truck Simulator 2
  • Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
  • Terraria
  • Raft
  • The Forest
  • Ready or Not
  • MENACE
  • UNBEATABLE
  • Sons Of The Forest
  • Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked
  • BeamNG.drive

These are obviously only a small selection of what ultimately will be a wide array of games on sale during the event. It is worth noting that Valve has yet to reveal the specifics about the discounts for the games highlighted in its announcement trailer for the Steam Spring Sale. Gamers will likely have to wait until March 19 for more details.

While the gaming community is gearing up for the Steam Spring Sale, it is only one of the many events Valve has planned for the year. The company already has summer, autumn, and winter versions of the sale on the calendar, as is tradition. Beyond that, themed sale events, known as Fests, take place each month, featuring some sort of theme. For instance, Steam has already held a Detective Fest, Board Game Fest, Typing Fest, PvP Fest, Horse Fest, and Tower Defense Fest this year. And many more are planned throughout 2026, giving fans more opportunities to grab appealing titles at discounted prices.

Gamers Can Already Find Titles for Free on Steam

News of the 2026 edition of the Spring Sale comes as Steam continues to add more games for users to check out. In particular, some of these Steam games are free, giving gamers the opportunity to add a variety of experiences to their library. While sales and free-to-play games lower the barrier to entry, these free games to claim and keep forever remove the barrier altogether. Unsurprisingly, the quality of these titles can vary, but there are some hidden gems out there.

Between newly added free games and the deals offered during the upcoming Steam Spring Sale, users will hopefully be able to find the perfect game to suit their preferences. And if this latest sale does not satisfy them, there will also be more deals to look forward to in the coming months on the PC gaming platform.
