A 2024 action hack-and-slash game named Arena of Trophies is set to be permanently delisted from Steam in the coming months, leaving players with limited time to add it to their libraries for free and keep it forever. Once a game is delisted on Steam, there’s no way for new users to get it in the future, but those who add it to their gaming libraries before it’s gone will still be able to download it forever.
Steam users have a solid number of games to claim at the moment. In the Free to Keep promotion, zombie shooter Yet Another Zombie Defense HD is 100% free, while the Free Weekend currently has six games available to try for a limited time. While PC gaming can be expensive at times, there are definitely plenty of promotions for those who want to play on a budget.

Gladiator action hack-and-slash title Arena of Trophies recently issued a shutdown notice on Steam, confirming that the game will be delisted from the platform on October 22, 2026. That gives players just over three months to claim the free-to-play title and tie it to their accounts permanently. While this is a good amount of notice from the developer, it’s still worth grabbing while the delisting notice is fresh. Because the game does not rely on any external online servers or services, nor does it have any in-game purchases, those who do claim Arena of Trophies will be able to continue playing the game past its delisting date.
Arena of Trophies is an action game where players choose from fifteen different gladiators and compete in arena battles to “collect achievements, refine your strategies, and become a legend in the endless fight for survival and recognition.” Players can use traps scattered throughout the arena to their advantage, offering variety in the strategies for each encounter.
It should be noted that this giveaway is not part of Steam’s usual Free to Keep promotion. Arena of Trophies was always a free-to-play game, and that isn’t changing with its imminent removal from the storefront. This is just the last chance for players to get this game for free. Remember, gamers only need to press the “Add to Library” button on Steam, and it will be registered to the account for download forever. There is no need to install the game right now – as long as it’s tied to the account, it’s all good.
It’s always a shame to see games disappear from Steam, especially indie games that offer a pretty unique experience. It’s fairly common to see smaller games disappear from Steam, and ultimately, it’s the developer’s choice. In the case of Arena of Trophies, the developer has said that it is “no longer able to dedicate the time and resources necessary to properly maintain, update, test, and support the game,” and also does not want new players to try it under those conditions.
