Witcher, Cyberpunk Dev Has An Unannounced Project Releasing Somewhat Soon

The Witcher and Cyberpunk developer CD Projekt has teased that it has an unannounced game in the works that is set to release somewhat soon.

As part of CD Projekt’s latest earnings report, the developer said it plans to “publish one of the heretofore unannounced gaming projects” at some point “in the coming quarters.”

That’s all the information that the company shared about whatever this project could be or when it may release. Fans are wishfully thinking that this could be a tease for the rumored Witcher 3 DLC that is said to bridge the gap between The Witcher 3 and The Witcher 4. There is no evidence of that, however.

CD Projekt has numerous projects in the works that have already been announced, including The Witcher 4, a remake of the original Witcher, Cyberpunk 2, a new IP, a mysterious project codenamed Sirius, and a game produced in partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Scopely mobile game studio. CD Projekt announced its partnership with Scopely in March 2025, saying at the time that the game was based on one of CD Projekt’s franchises. This came after CD Projekt said it was considering a Cyberpunk mobile game.

Also in the earnings report, CD Projekt said one of its ambitions for the future is to create a “franchise flywheel concept” through which the studio develops an “ecosystem of mutually supporting products.”

This is a standard strategy for big companies that seek to maximize profit. Perhaps the most famous example of the flywheel was Walt Disney’s 1957 diagram showing off how he planned to connect Disney’s theatrical films with numerous other revenue sources, including books, merchandise, music, and TV.

Also in CD Projekt’s earnings report, the company said it wants to pursue the “further enrichment” of its franchises by offering games with multiplayer features. That’s not something that CD Projekt is particularly known for, and a previous attempt to make a Cyberpunk multiplayer game did not pan out.

In other news, CD Projekt recently gave development updates on The Witcher 4 and its new IP, Hadar. Additionally, The Witcher was recently adapted for a new Reigns game.

Earlier this year, CD Projekt raised its profit projections, setting an “ambitious” target, the company said. The company might be feeling positive about future growth due in part to the plan to release The Witcher 4, 5, and 6 within a six-year window.
