Xbox Game Pass Adds Huge Open-World RPG with ‘Very Positive’ Reviews, and More

Xbox Game Pass Adds Huge Open-World RPG with ‘Very Positive’ Reviews, and More

The Xbox Game Pass library has expanded to include two more titles with “Very Positive” user reviews. The duo includes Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red’s hugely successful open-world RPG that is making its debut on Xbox Game Pass more than half a decade following its release.

The biggest-budget video game set in Night City stirred controversy at launch, largely due to the subpar technical state of the PS4 and Xbox One versions. CDPR spent several years and more than $125 million fixing Cyberpunk 2077, eventually salvaging the game’s reputation. Today, the 2020 title is widely regarded as one of the best value-for-money single-player RPGs and is broadly recommended by fans of the genre, as reflected in its “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam. The turnaround also boosted its long-term sales, with Cyberpunk 2077 surpassing 35 million copies sold as of late 2025. That figure makes it the third best-selling video game of the 2020s, behind only Animal Crossing: New Horizons (49.32m) and Hogwarts Legacy (40m), and ahead of Elden Ring (30m) and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (30m).

Xbox Game Pass Adds Day-One Game with 84 Critic Score

The latest Xbox Game Pass addition is a day-one sequel to a critically acclaimed 2023 title that’s scoring even better than the original.

Cyberpunk 2077 and Construction Simulator Now Available on Xbox Game Pass

Exactly five years and three months after its release, CDPR’s neon-soaked RPG has at last been added to Xbox Game Pass and is now available to Ultimate- and Premium-tier subscribers. PC Game Pass is not part of the package because Cyberpunk 2077 was never released on the Microsoft Store, which is also the reason it lacks Xbox Play Anywhere support. The March 10 catalog update also includes Construction Simulator, a simulation game from the genre specialists at German studio Weltenbauer. Originally released in September 2022, the title has accumulated more than 3,200 “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam as of March 2026. Like Cyberpunk 2077, Construction Simulator had never been available on the Xbox subscription service until now, but unlike CDPR’s open-world RPG, it can also be played via PC Game Pass.

Cyberpunk 2077 and Construction Simulator mark the sixth and seventh new titles to join Xbox Game Pass in March. They also bring the total number of 2026 additions to the Ultimate-tier library to 45. One more title from the Wave 1 Xbox Game Pass lineup for March 2026 has yet to arrive: DreamWorks Gabby’s Dollhouse: Ready to Party, due on March 17. Another catalog update is scheduled for March 12, but it only covers the expanded release of Hollow Knight: Silksong, which will join Xbox Game Pass Premium on that date, six months following its day-one debut as part of the Ultimate-tier library.

Near the end of this month’s Wave 1 lineup, Xbox Game Pass will lose half a dozen titles on March 15. The mid-month departures consist of Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island, Lightyear Frontier, He Is Coming, F1 23, Enter the Gungeon, and Bratz Rhythm & Style. This will be the largest wave of removals since Xbox Game Pass lost seven titles at the tail end of January 2026. Regardless, the service is on course to end the first half of March 2026 with two games in the green, adding eight titles to offset its six removals. The Wave 2 lineup for this month, including both releases and removals, is expected to be formally announced on March 17.
