Xbox Game Pass Adds One of April 2026’s Biggest New Games, and More

The Xbox Game Pass library has expanded to include Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard, the much-anticipated Vampire Survivors spin-off. In addition to this day-one arrival, today’s catalog update also includes two more titles joining the Premium tier of Xbox Game Pass.

Vampire Crawlers is the latest title from Luca “Poncle” Galante, the British indie developer behind the 2021 indie hit Vampire Survivors that popularized the so-called “bullet heaven” style of games to such an extent that the genre is nowadays commonly called “survivor-like.” Galante’s new game is not a sequel, but rather an inventive spin-off that ditches the original’s real-time combat in favor of turn-based deck-building. What it retains is a wealth of roguelite elements and a highly flexible upgrade power curve that allows players to snowball with astonishing might. As such, Vampire Crawlers still aims to deliver the kind of numbers-go-up dopamine hits that made Vampire Survivors such a household name, even if its moment-to-moment gameplay is entirely different.

Vampire Crawlers Now Available Across 2 Xbox Game Pass Tiers

After nearly four years of development, Vampire Crawlers is now officially available on PC and current-generation consoles as of April 21, following a worldwide rollout at 9 a.m. PDT / 12 p.m. EDT / 6 p.m. CEST. The deck-building Vampire Survivors spin-off was marketed as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title from the moment of its 2025 reveal and has delivered on that promise, joining half of its membership ranks, namely XGP Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

While Vampire Crawlers is skipping Xbox Game Pass Premium at launch, the $14.99-a-month service is not leaving subscribers empty-handed today, having just added the narrative-driven adventure SOPA: Tale of the Stolen Potato and crafting RPG-meets-factory-automation game Little Rocket Lab. Both arrivals are cozy indies that previously had a day-and-date release on the higher tiers of the service. Specifically, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers have been able to play SOPA and Little Rocket Lab since October 2025.

Vampire Crawlers boosts the overall value of Microsoft’s on-demand content catalog by $9.99. While that is well below the average price of a new release, it is still double the $4.99 launch price of Vampire Survivors. Based on Microsoft’s recent library update patterns, the deck-building roguelite could join the Premium tier of Xbox Game Pass as early as late 2026. In the meantime, Vampire Survivors remains available across all subscription tiers, including the entry-level Essential plan.

Vampire Crawlers is the 11th new title to join Microsoft’s subscription service in April and the 65th such addition since the start of 2026. Looking ahead, Xbox Game Pass is scheduled to lose nine titles on April 30 as part of its biggest departure wave in months.
