Pokopia Player Gives Rocky Ridges an Incredible Makeover

A Pokemon Pokopia player transformed Rocky Ridges by removing some notable obstacles standing between the Pokemon Center and the museum. The Pokemon Pokopia player shared their handiwork in a short video and also showed off some of the buildings they restored in Rocky Ridges.

Since its March 2026 launch on Switch 2, Pokemon Pokopia has become one of the top cozy games of the year so far. Despite the bleak outlook that the world of Pokemon Pokopia presents at first, players have taken to restoring some of the game’s various buildings and landmarks in their own ways. From building massive houses that serve as Pokemon habitats to restoring massive structures like the S.S. Anne in Bleak Beach, Pokemon Pokopia still offers plenty of ways that gamers can improve and restore the world as they see fit.

Pokopia Player Carves Out Rocky Ridges

Though other Pokopia players have placed Pokemon tributes in Rocky Ridges, one player crafted an impressive way to give the stone-covered region a complete makeover. On the Pokopia subreddit, a Redditor named Identikitten shared a short video of the work they did throughout Rocky Ridges. The main focus of Identikitten’s Rocky Ridges makeover project was to clear a path between the Pokemon Center and the museum, which is normally obstructed by a mountain and mounds of volcanic ash. Rather than work around the mountain, Identikitten carved a direct path to the museum by removing the stone and ash blocking the way, and crafted a walking trail with rows of streetlights and homes neatly laid out.

Additionally, Identikitten also kept some of the pre-existing infrastructure of Rocky Ridges in mind, as their path to the museum ran parallel to two restored mine cart tracks. Several Pokemon, including Chatot, Diglett, and Machoke, can be briefly seen throughout Identikitten’s video. The Pokemon Pokopia clip was taken using Ditto’s Magnet Rise to float high off the ground, giving viewers a clearer look at the renovations that took place. Along the path to the Rocky Ridges museum, Identikitten showed a glimpse of the houses they restored, which added a sense of comfort to the environment. Although Identikitten did not go inside the museum in their short video, the clip showed an impressive look at the front facade of the two-story building. The video ends with Identikitten panning the camera back toward the Pokemon Center to give viewers a look at how far the path stretches.

Pokopia’s Staying Power Remains Strong

Given that other Pokemon Pokopia players have undertaken makeover projects in levels like Bleak Beach, Identikitten’s efforts did not go unnoticed on social media. In response to the Rocky Ridges makeover video, some Pokemon Pokopia players commented on how they were subsequently tempted to try and clear out the path between the Pokemon Center and the museum. Other Pokopia players said that they detested having to dig through volcanic ash in their own game save files.
