Pokemon Pokopia Sableye Event Officially Revealed

Pokemon Pokopia Sableye Event Officially Revealed

Pokemon Pokopia‘s development team has officially shared information on the upcoming Sableye’s Gem Hunt special event, which is scheduled to start on April 29 for players who haven’t been messing around with the clock on their Switch 2 consoles. The limited-time event in Pokemon Pokopia will not only allow players to add Sableye as a permanent island resident, but it will also give them access to some exclusive building kits, furniture, and more.

Many fans of Pokemon Pokopia have known about the Sableye-themed event for a while now, as the game offers practically no penalties for players who want to virtually time travel by adjusting the date on their consoles, and its programming allows players to access plenty of events early. But those who want the traditional Pokemon Pokopia experience are soon to dive into the game’s second major event, which follows a couple smaller celebrations over the course of April.

It’s Official: Pokopia is No Longer the Highest-Rated Game of the Year

Nintendo’s acclaimed Pokemon Pokopia is knocked off its spot as the highest-rated game of 2026 by a brand-new release.

Pokemon Pokopia Sableye’s Gem Hunt Dates and Times

  • April 29 at 5 a.m. through May 14 at 4:59 a.m.

Those who have already played through Pokemon Pokopia‘s More Spores for Hoppip event, which officially started just five days after the game’s March 5 launch, will already have a very good idea of how Sableye’s special event will play out. Aside from the featured Pokemon and the rewards granted, the events are almost identical, following a gameplay pattern that starts with meeting Sableye outside a reconstructed Pokemon Center, giving dolls to Drifloon, and visiting Cloud Islands to collect a special resource, which this time around, will be red crystal fragments.

After returning from their Cloud Island treasure hunts, players will be able to visit any Pokemon Center and trade their red crystal fragments for special rewards. Nintendo hasn’t officially announced what these are yet, but players who have already accessed the event have reported that they include decorations centered around camping and treasure hunting expeditions, including an oil lantern, a jewel wall decoration, a digital camera, a camping chair, a camp cooking pot, and a tent kit. In addition, players will need to trade in fragments for the Map and Compass, Treasure, and Adventure Kit items, which can be combined to make an event-specific Pokemon Pokopia habitat for Sableye and add it to the roster of unlocked characters.

As previously mentioned, players don’t have to wait to start searching for Sableye’s treasure, as they can freely use time travel methods in Pokemon Pokopia to start the event early by setting the clock to any date during the event period. Players using these methods should be forewarned that while moving forward in time comes with very few consequences, there can be slightly more serious repercussions for rewinding the clock. These penalties can include shops not immediately restocking properly, daily challenges failing to refresh, and players not getting proper credit on their stamp cards. Additionally, since the clock is tied to the console and not any individual titles, changing it could cause problems with other games.

In the meantime, there is still a little bit of time left on the official calendar to participate in the Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest event in Pokemon Pokopia. By successfully completing consecutive jumps without tripping, players may be able to pick up an exclusive Jump Rope Trophy in addition to other rewards, like Rare Pokemetal, Rainbow Feathers, Large Lost Relics, and more.
