Guild Wars 3 Is Finally On the Way
During the 2026 Summer Game Fest livestream, ArenaNet confirmed that Guild Wars 3 is finally on the way. Guild Wars 3 will launch its first beta tests in the fall of 2027 on PC via Steam and a standalone ArenaNet client, alongside the PS5 version. ArenaNet gave players a look at the environment of Guild Wars 3 via a new trailer. According to ArenaNet, Guild Wars 3 takes place 1,000 years before the events of the first Guild Wars game, as players assume the role of a Vaelwarden in Tyria’s magical Orr region. The Vaelwardens are members of a guild tasked with defending the lands of Orr. As a Vaelwarden, players will be able to call upon Vael spirits to help them, with a spirit called the Seeker being the most notable. The Seeker can be used as a mount to traverse Guild Wars 3′s vast open world.
