Pokopia Player Creates Incredible Song in the Game

A Pokemon Pokopia player has used the game’s note blocks to recreate one of Paramore’s most iconic songs, “Misery Business.” The stunning sequence features nearly the entirety of the beloved song reimagined within Pokopia.

The newest spin-off of the Pokemon franchise has already given players plenty of options to flex their creative muscles in the game. Pokopia‘s expansive array of building tools allow players to create nearly anything they desire, from immaculate and highly detailed structures to homages to popular Pokemon locations. Players can even reshape their villages using abilities like Rock Smash and Leafage in order to change the geography, make new roads and pathways, and fully customize their in-game abodes. Now, one fan has used a lengthy sequence of note blocks to translate a fan-favorite Paramore song into Pokopia.

Pokopia Has a Problem When It Comes to Building Giant Houses in the Game

Pokemon Pokopia’s home building limits are too restrictive for some players, although there are some clever workarounds available.

Pokopia Fan Recreates Paramore’s “Misery Business” in the Game

Pokopia player m_ad_clown showed off their intricate creation on TikTok, using a mix of note blocks, rails, and a Handcar to recreate Paramore’s “Misery Business”. The nearly two-minute video showed the stunning Pokopia version of the popular Paramore song, with the player riding along a pre-built railway and using motion sensors to set off the different notes. One notable section of “Misery Business” was confirmed to be absent within the Pokopia musical cover, stating in the video’s caption that the creator had “run out of room” to include the guitar solo. The Pokopia version of “Misery Business” was clearly a hit with fans as well, amassing more than 25,000 likes on TikTok within just a day of being uploaded.

The impressive Pokopia song reimagines one of the songs that defined Paramore’s rise to stardom. “Misery Business” first debuted in June 2007 as the lead single from Paramore’s second studio album, Riot!, and instantly became a fan-favorite, credited as helping the band achieve mainstream success. “Misery Business” stands as one of Paramore’s best-selling singles, with the song certified 6x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. “Misery Business” has also been featured in multiple video games, including playable appearances in Guitar Hero: World Tour and Fortnite Festival.

Pokopia fans recreating popular songs follow in the footsteps of one of the game’s biggest inspirations. Players have been using similar set-ups in Minecraft for years to create musical arrangements within the sandbox survival game, often implementing complex Redstone chains. Pokopia also gives fans an easy way to bring their favorite songs from throughout the Pokemon franchise into the game, using either CD players or DJ Rotom to play a variety of popular Pokemon tracks.

Creating music in Pokopia serves as another way that fans have pushed the boundaries of the life simulation game. Players have recently begun to discover size limits on Pokopia houses, with the game not recognizing houses larger than 100 square blocks. One fan even employed an unconventional method to free up more space for building large structures, spending roughly two weeks removing all the oceans from Pokopia. Pokopia fans have continued to break new ground early in its life and will likely continue to push the popular life simulation game to its limits.
