Breaking Bad Cast Recreated in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

Breaking Bad Cast Recreated in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

A creative Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream player has recreated the cast of the Breaking Bad universe as Miis, surprising the community with their attention to detail. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is Nintendo’s latest entry in the social simulation genre. The game lets players create several Miis and have them coexist on an island, leading to hilarious interactions.

First announced in March 2025, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream became one of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch releases of 2026. It’s the first Tomodachi Life title in over a decade, and it was officially released on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on April 16. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream‘s character customization options are quite extensive, letting fans tailor everything from their personalities to their unique facial features. One fan made the most out of the Mii creation system to bring characters from Breaking Bad to the game.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Was in Development for 9 Years

A new interview with the team behind Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream shows why a new Tomodachi Life game took so long to develop.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Fan Recreates Breaking Bad Characters

Reddit user randomg0ds shared their 16 Miis based on the Breaking Bad cast, created using Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream‘s character creator. The post includes some of Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad‘s most iconic characters, from Walter White and Jesse Pinkman to Nacho and Kim Wexler. The post currently sits at 7.3K upvotes, and fellow players have praised the original poster for portraying the actors’ likeness so well in Mii style. When asked how they managed to design the Miis so faithfully, the player advised that “the most important thing is proportioning,” and to focus on which facial feature stands out the most. They also commented that cartooning a real person in Mii form can be difficult in general.

What’s arguably most impressive about randomg0ds’ creation is how they did not use the Face Paint feature at all. In Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, fans can use Face Paint to draw any facial detail on a Mii that is not already available in the character builder. It seems the player chose to test themselves instead. On the other hand, randomg0ds revealed that they no longer possess the Breaking Bad Miis. They had to delete them to create all the characters, considering that the game’s demo only allows three Miis at a time. Fortunately for fans, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream‘s Mii editor system allows up to 70 Miis on players’ islands, so gamers may be able to recreate entire franchises as Miis.

Character customization is one of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream‘s most applauded aspects. Nintendo also encourages players to create Miis based on their families and friends, as well as original characters. However, the developer has made it difficult for players to share screenshots and videos of their Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream interactions directly on social media. The measure is seemingly tied to the game having virtually no profanity filter.

As players dive into Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, fans will likely see more incredible Mii creations within the community. There are ways to bypass Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream‘s image-sharing restrictions by transferring their content to another device. It will be interesting to see which other iconic characters will be turned into Miis next.
