Grand Theft Auto 6‘s physical code-in-box edition will include an extra item that fans of the franchise may appreciate. Rockstar hasn’t officially unveiled the physical edition of Grand Theft Auto 6, but a new official statement from a retailer has revealed another detail about it.
At first, many thought GTA 6‘s code-in-box edition would include a printed map of Leonida. Rockstar later confirmed that a physical, double-sided map would indeed be available through the official GTA 6 store. However, buyers will have to pay $0.99 USD for it separately, though the map will be free with any purchase from the website after the game’s release. While this may have initially disappointed physical edition buyers, the newly confirmed detail could be something they welcome.
Retailer Confirms New Collectible Item Coming with GTA 6 Code-in-Box Edition
Smyth Toys’ UK website has revealed that the physical edition of GTA 6 will include an “A3 double-sided poster in the case.” Previous rumors suggested that the poster might be a retailer-exclusive gift offered by stores like MediaMarkt. However, this new information suggests that every box will likely include a poster featuring official art on one side and the famous GTA 6 cover girl on the other.

Smyth Toys has echoed Rockstar’s latest announcement about GTA 6‘s $20 upgrade, confirming that buyers of the code-in-box edition can still upgrade to the Ultimate Edition through their console’s digital store. The rest of the information on the retailer’s website is already familiar to fans. The box does not include a disc, pre-loading begins on November 10, and the game becomes playable on November 19.

While debates over Rockstar’s decision to release disc-less GTA 6 boxes continue, some fans are happy that the box includes more than just a code. A few buyers have also reported that they managed to get the physical edition for less than the digital version, which they believe means they got more for less. Others still consider Rockstar’s move greedy and argue that a double-sided poster is not enough to justify the decision.
One thing to note is that, although GTA 6 won’t come with a disc, Rockstar has offered fans a fairly wide range of physical collectible items. Besides the double-sided poster and printed map, fans can purchase Vice City apparel and accessories from the official Rockstar Store. Rockstar also offers the GTA 6: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, which, despite its steep price, includes several coveted collectibles.
While some retailers, such as Smyths Toys, have confirmed that the GTA 6 box will include a double-sided poster, Rockstar Games has yet to comment on the edition’s extra or bonus content as of this writing.
