Some Halo Studios staff members are now out of a job, according to social media posts from affected former staffers. Halo Studios, formerly known as 343 Industries, has been the primary developer of Xbox’s long-running Halo franchise since 2011’s Halo: Campaign Evolved Anniversary.
Halo Studios Lays Off Some Staff Members
Although Microsoft already conducted a massive round of company-wide layoffs in July, that has not stopped the company from cutting more jobs. Former Halo Studios producer Nick Treitman confirmed on LinkedIn that he was let go from his post after over six years on the job. Treitman said that he has nothing but love for his former colleagues at Halo Studios and was open to new roles as a producer or project manager in the Seattle area. Similarly, former Halo Studios scrum master Paul Morris was laid off following the release of Halo: Campaign Evolved. Morris was a contract employee of Halo Studios for two years prior to his post being cut. Halo software engineer Caleb Lawrence also confirmed on LinkedIn that he is open to work. However, it is currently unclear exactly how many Halo Studios staff members were affected by these layoffs.
