How to Get More Pokemon in Pokemon Champions

In Pokemon Champions, getting more Pokemon is done in the Recruit Ranch (Menu) and by using Victory Points, the main currency in the game. But there are other ways to obtain more Pokemon, and in this guide, players will learn everything from Pokemon Transfer from Pokemon HOME and other games, to daily drafts. If players are prepared to become the best trainers and climb to the top in Ranked Battles, here’s all they need to know to build the strongest teams ever.

Answering Your Burning Questions About Pokemon Champions

Pokemon Champions FAQ: Answers to your burning questions about the new Pokemon Videogame Championship platform, including compatibility with Pokemon Home, microtransactions, and more.

How to Get More Pokemon in Pokemon Champions

In Pokemon Champions, getting new team members can be done through the Recruit Ranch, a special menu where players can pick one Pokemon from a daily draft, which is selected from the Regular Roster M-A, which is available starting on April 8 2026, at 02:00 UTC to Wednesday, June 27, 2026, at 01:59 UTC (at which point, the Roster will reset and bring a new assortment of Pokemon).

Players can meet a new lineup of Pokemon every 22 hours (without using VP), or they can accelerate this by using VP or Quick Coupons to shorten how long they need to wait to recruit another Pokemon.

Each daily draft is completely randomized, and to consult the currently available Pokemon in the roster, players need to follow these steps:

  1. Go to Recruit
  2. Select Recruit Pokemon
  3. Select Roster Info

Players can also bring Pokemon from other games into Pokemon Champions by using Pokemon Home. To do this, first, they need to drop some of the eligible Pokemon from the current active regulations into their Pokemon HOME boxes, then follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Pokemon HOME and select ‘Send Pokemon for a Visit to Pokemon Champions.’ (Lower Right Corner Option)
  2. Once inside, mark with (A) each Pokemon you want to send.
  3. To finish the process, press (Y).

This will send the selected Pokemon to the Recruit Section of Pokemon Champions. Now, players need to select ‘Collect from Pokemon HOME.’

Pokemon received this way will be permanently unlocked, and players can use them for as long as they wish, although there’s a catch. Transferring Pokemon this way creates a ‘duplicate copy’ of the Pokemon in question. It preserves things like ID number, Poke Ball, Moves, Ability, Nature, and receives Stats according to the Pokémon Champion’s power level (balance).

When the Pokemon is transferred back to HOME and another game, that first copy that was created in Pokemon HOME will remain unaltered, but unusable. When players send the same Pokemon back to Pokemon HOME the copy will activate again, making it possible to use that Pokemon once more. But the stats and other details of the Pokemon cannot be changed outside the Pokemon Champions ecosystem.

Pokemon sent on a visit cannot be changed (trained) after being transferred; this is to prevent tampering (genning) and other unlawful tactics. Even if trainers make changes to that Pokemon in other games, some changes will not carry over to Pokemon Champions.

About Special Recruitment Rosters: Some rosters with special recruitment requirements will be available in the near future. For the moment, there’s no extra information about this, but it is highly possible these are referring to Legendary and Special Pokemon being included in the game with later patches.
