Seashells are a rare resource in Pokopia that players can use to craft Seashell Lamps and other decorative items. Unlike other resources, which can be grown, purchased, or found in multiple places, Seashells are only found on beaches in Pokopia. Because of this, players often need to go out of their way to collect them whenever they appear. There are three places players can get Seashells, including
- Ocean Dream Island,
- Bleak Beach,
- and Pallet Town.
These areas all feature coastal environments where Seashells naturally spawn along the shoreline or in sandy areas.

How to Get Seashells in Pokopia
There are several areas players can unlock and discover in Pokopia, and each one has a different climate, Pokemon, Habitats, and resources. Some regions are dense forests filled with Bug-type Pokemon, while others are rocky wastelands or grassy plains with completely different Habitats to restore. Seashells only spawn near oceans along the shoreline, which aren’t accessible when players first start the game.
Because early areas of the game are mostly inland, players will need to progress through the story and unlock new routes before they can begin collecting them. The first one that players will most likely gain access to is Pallet Town.
Pallet Town
To get access to Pallet Town, players must go to the west side of the Withered Wasteland near the ocean, where they’ll find a broken bridge. Lay down any type of floor tile to fill the gap and cross.
Once the bridge is repaired, players can travel to the other side and begin exploring the new area. Pallet Town serves as a coastal hub that opens up more gameplay opportunities, including multiplayer features and beach resource gathering. Since the bridge requires only a simple floor tile to repair, players can unlock the area fairly early once they reach the Withered Wasteland.
Pallet Town is fully customizable for players, including its name, and is where they can invite their friends for multiplayer games. This makes it one of the most social locations in Pokopia, as players can design the layout of the town, decorate it with crafted furniture, and create a unique environment for visiting friends. Because of its open layout and customizable features, many players choose to build decorative items there, including the Seashell Lamps crafted from the Seashells they collect.
There also happens to be a beach there, and players can find Seashells and Sea Glass Shards all along it. These items spawn along the sandy shoreline and can be picked up while walking along the coast. Players may need to search the entire beach to find every Seashell, as they can sometimes blend in with the sand or appear near rocks and other beach debris.
While there, players can also find certain Pokemon and complete special challenges with valuable rewards.
Bleak Beach
Players can find Seashells on Bleak Beach as well. Bleak Beach is accessed once players reach Trainer Rank Great and travel through the Area Gate in the nswe section of Withered Wastelands. The only way to increase Trainer Rank is to complete Important Requests, so it will happen naturally.
Because Trainer Rank increases as players complete tasks and help characters around Pokopia, most players will unlock Bleak Beach simply by continuing to progress through the game. Once the rank requirement is met, the Area Gate becomes accessible and players can travel to the beach to search for resources.
How to Get a Fly Specialty Pokemon for Bleak Beach in Pokopia
There are at least three Pokemon you can find at Bleak Beach with the Fly Specialty and here’s how to find them.
Bleak Beach has rare Water-type Pokemon that players can find during their search for Seashells. This makes it a useful location not just for gathering materials but also for expanding a player’s Pokemon collection. Players who bring along Water-type Pokemon may find exploration easier, especially when dealing with the environmental obstacles scattered around the beach.
Seashells are found in the sandy areas and also when players clean up muck with a Water-type Pokemon following them. Clearing muck can reveal hidden items beneath it, including Seashells and other useful resources. Because of this mechanic, players should take their time exploring Bleak Beach and cleaning up as much of the shoreline as possible.
Ocean Dream Island
Finally, players can find Seashells by visiting the Ocean Dream Island. Dream Islands are special areas that players visit by giving Drifloon a Pokedoll. Each Pokedoll is attached to a certain Dream Island, and players will need a Pikachu Doll to go to the Ocean Dream Island. There are seven other Dream Islands that players can visit, so keep an eye out for Pokedolls.
Dream Islands are unique because they function differently from normal regions in the game. Instead of being permanently accessible areas, they are temporary destinations that players can travel to after offering the correct doll. Each island has its own theme, resources, and Pokemon that may not appear anywhere else in Pokopia.
Ocean Dream Island is especially useful for players who want to collect additional Seashells because it features multiple shoreline areas where they can spawn. Exploring the island thoroughly can reward players with several Seashells during a single visit.
Players can get a decent number of Seashells if they visit all three locations, but they will have to wait for them to respawn once they are all picked up. Seashell Lamps are a cute way to customize Ditto’s house and make places special for Water-type Pokemon.
