A talented Pokemon Pokopia player has built an entire functional apartment complex in the game. This gamer has used clever tricks to bring the apartment complex to life in a way that lets Pokemon actually live inside it, and has even asked other Pokopia players about the next steps to improve the build.
Pokopia is the Pokemon franchise’s attempt at a life simulator in the vein of Animal Crossing. The game was met with glowing reviews upon its release earlier this year, achieving a Top Critic Average of 90 on the review aggregator site OpenCritic. This strong word of mouth instantly translated to great sales figures. Within days, Pokopia had sold over 2.2 million copies, and those numbers have only continued to grow since.
Pokemon’s 2026 Release Whiplash is 2022 All Over Again
Pokemon Pokopia and Pokemon Champions have seen two very different receptions in 2026, making this year feel similar to the series’s status in 2022.
This Pokopia Apartment Complex is Actually Functional
Redditor Due-Silver-2930 shared images of their amazing Pokopia build, a complete apartment complex that actually functions across multiple levels. Multiple Pokemon are housed inside, and from the exterior shots, it’s clear how much attention to detail has gone into bringing this build to life. It even has a pool for the Pokopia Pokemon to lounge around outside. Better yet, the shots they were able to get show that the detail continues to the fully furnished interiors, although they did mention that it was difficult to get pictures inside. The next step for the build is to improve the rooftop, and Due-Silver-2930 has asked for advice in the thread on how to do so.
According to the creator, the build is mainly composed of bricks and volcanic ash, as they “wanted a dark grey that would contrast with the black details and I tried so many blocks but volcanic ash was the best color I was looking for.” One user asked how they were able to make all the rooms actually register as a house for the Pokemon, to which they replied, “I first started with the livable parts made them 10×10 with doors and stacked them on top of each other. Then I built the elevator room on the side the doors were on then the main building. The only room that gave me trouble was the room on top of the ‘lobby’ so for that I just hid habitats throughout it so Pokemon could live there.”
Pokopia gives players the tools to bring their ideas to life, and it has been very interesting to see what they have been able to create so far. There was one recent Pokopia player who even created a church dedicated to Ditto, which is as impressive as it sounds. As players become more familiar with the tools in the coming months, there are sure to be even more incredible builds in Pokopia.

While Pokopia is already a massive success, there is still more to come from the game. The developer has already released several updates, with numerous major Pokopia events for players to look forward to. These events keep players engaged for longer, which should help keep the game relevant in the coming months.
