Xbox Game Suddenly Delisted Without Warning

Boom Boom Rocket has been pulled from the Xbox Store. The delisting came without prior warning, materializing shortly after the 19th anniversary of the classic Xbox title.

Boom Boom Rocket is a flashy rhythm game developed by Bizarre Creations, a Liverpool-based studio founded in 1988, acquired by Activision in 2007, and closed in 2011. While Bizarre Creations was best known for the Project Gotham Racing franchise during its Microsoft collaboration era, Boom Boom Rocket became a notable entry in the Xbox Live Arcade catalog shortly following its 2007 release. The game drew praise for its stylized visuals and accessible premise, which centered on detonating fireworks in time with the music.

Boom Boom Rocket was pulled from Microsoft’s digital marketplace in mid-June 2026. The delisting was first spotted by Reddit user bassfoyoface, whose post about the game’s removal reached the front page of the r/Xbox subreddit on June 18. That social media momentum suggests a vocal portion of Xbox 360 fans are disappointed with this turn of events. All Boom Boom Rocket DLC packs have also been delisted alongside the game itself.
