'Don't Cheat Bro' Hytale Will Give $15,000 to the First Player to Beat an Impossible Challenge

Simon Collins-Laflamme, better known as the creator of Hytale, is putting $15,000 on the line for the first streamer capable of completing an exceptionally difficult challenge involving the game’s upcoming Gobliterator boss. Hytale is preparing to launch Chapter 1 on October 12, bringing its first handcrafted dungeon, first multi-phase boss fight, and a major expansion of its RPG systems.

Hytale Is Offering $15,000 to Beat Its New Boss Challenge

Collins-Laflamme has announced on Twitter that the first streamer to defeat Hytale‘s Gobliterator under a strict set of conditions will receive $15,000. The qualifying run must be completed solo on Hard Mode while playing in Hardcore Mode, with no armor, potions, glitches, or Creative Mode shortcuts allowed. Players can use iron weapons available through Exploration Mode, but the attempt must otherwise be a legitimate run from the beginning. The entire challenge must also be streamed, with a VOD available afterward so the result can be verified. Collins-Laflamme plans to publish a full rundown of the rules before Chapter 1 launches and ended his initial announcement with a simple warning for prospective competitors to “don’t cheat, bro.” The Gobliterator challenge is also arriving as part of Hytale‘s increasingly ambitious post-launch content updates, with Chapter 1 introducing some of the game’s most substantial new PvE content yet.
