New Star Wars Zero Company Edition Officially Revealed

The Collector’s Edition of Star Wars Zero Company was officially revealed during a panel featuring the game’s cast and crew at San Diego Comic Con 2026. Produced by Limited Run Games, Star Wars fans can pre-order the Star Wars Zero Company Collector’s Edition from now until August 23, ahead of the game’s August 27 release date. This edition of the game will set fans back a hefty $299.99, and is available for the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S versions of Star Wars Zero Company.

Star Wars Zero Company is an upcoming turn-based tactics game from Bit Reactor and EA, and it’s clearly a game developed by former XCOM developers. The game is set during the Clone Wars and features a cast of misfit mercenaries, known as the Zero Company, tasked with carrying out covert operations for the Republic. In true XCOM fashion, Star Wars Zero Company features mechanics like turn-based squad battles, permadeath, and an upgradeable home base.

Star Wars Zero Company Could Give Turn-Based Tactics Its ARC Raiders Moment

Star Wars Zero Company has the potential to catapult the turn-based tactics genre into the mainstream, just as ARC Raiders did with it’s niche genre.

Aside from the game for the purchaser’s platform of choice, the Star Wars Zero Company Collectors Edition comes with several displayable items, such as a Retro Jewelcase reminiscent of classic physical game cases, a Steelbook, cards featuring the game’s major characters, patches, and a premium foil-stamped box. There are also two pins included in this bundle, one featuring a Clone Commando and the other featuring the game’s logo, as well as a desk mat with artwork of the game printed on it.

The most interesting part of this collector’s edition, and likely the source of its high price tag, is a replica of a Thermal Detonator grenade from the Star Wars franchise. Collectors can long-press the top button to switch the detonator between standard and “droid popper” modes, and pressing or jiggling the detonator will trigger an explosion sound effect from the game. Whether this makes the package worth $300 is up to collectors to decide, but it’s worth noting that the Collector’s Edition content won’t ship until April 1-June 30, 2027.

Beyond Star Wars Zero Company, Star Wars game fans have a lot to look forward to throughout the rest of 2026. A new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order manga is set to release in December, and the embattled Star Wars KOTOR remake is rumored to be re-revealed later this year as well.
