A Pokemon Pokopia player has built an incredible temple of Pyroar, a Pokemon that was first introduced in the Kalos Region. Since launching on Nintendo Switch 2 earlier this year, Pokemon Pokopia has quickly been embraced by fans of the franchise. The developers at Omega Force have given players a lot of tools to build their very own Pokemon paradise, and they’ve wasted no time showcasing their creativity.
Tributes to popular Pokemon have become a common sight in the game. Every fan of the franchise has a favorite Pokemon, so it’s no surprise that so many people have gotten to work coming up with their own custom designs. Earlier this month, a Pokopia player built a huge statue of Shiny Charizard in Rocky Ridges. Charizard has been one of the most popular characters in the franchise since Pokemon Red and Green, so it’s likely a lot of players are trying to create similar options based on the Fire-type.

A Pokopia Tribute to Pyroar
In a post on Reddit, user Ocarina_of_Space shared a video of a Pyroar statue created in Pokemon Pokopia. The video begins in a regal-looking chamber, as Ditto descends from a throne, past fire-breathing Magby statues. Ditto then uses Magnet Rise to leave the chamber, escaping the mouth of a giant male Pyroar statue. The user says that they began building it because they had lots of Pokemetal and volcanic ash. While Pokopia has many different Pokemon to find throughout the game, Pyroar is not one of them. The creator of the build says that they would have had the Fire-Type move into the temple if the game actually allowed them to do so.
At this time, The Pokemon Company has not announced any DLC for Pokopia, but the game’s popularity makes it seem like a distinct possibility. If the developers do expand the amount of content, it’s likely that more Pokemon will be added. With more than 1,000 Pokemon in the franchise at this point, it’s impossible to say if Pyroar would be prioritized over other favorites. The Fire-Type did get its own Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends: Z-A last year, but it hasn’t exactly achieved a level of popularity on par with Charizard, Mewtwo, or Pikachu. Pyroar is somewhat niche, which makes the statue by Ocarina_of_Space all the more impressive.
DLC for Pokopia would be one way to extend the game’s popularity, and it would also give Pokemon fans something to enjoy as they wait for other games. Pokemon Winds and Waves are coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, but a firm release date has not been announced. Those games could still be pretty far away, and DLC for an already popular title would help soften the blow. The promise of more content could also motivate fans to pick up a Nintendo Switch 2 to play Pokopia, if they haven’t already.

The best cozy games inspire a lot of creativity, especially when they give players a level of control that might not have been expected. The freedom in Pokopia has even allowed players to remove the ocean in the game. As players spend more time with the software, there are going to be even more impressive builds shared online. That can be intimidating for those who don’t have the patience to create giant Pokemon statues, but Pokopia‘s campaign still offers plenty of compelling elements to keep players invested.
