Xbox has revealed the latest games joining its Game Pass subscription in the first half of September, and the list includes interesting titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Some of the games in Xbox Game Pass’ September lineup were already revealed, but there are also a couple of new additions that subscribers will likely appreciate.
Back in August, Xbox Game Pass confirmed the surprise addition of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage. It also revealed in advance that Shelldiver would be available on the service in September, and it is already playable via the Ultimate, Premium, and PC-exclusive tiers.

On September 1, Xbox revealed seven games that will be added to different Game Pass tiers in the first half of the month. Of these, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and The Royal Writ were brand-new additions, while the rest had been revealed or confirmed previously. Interestingly, Xbox’s official announcement doesn’t mention Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, which was added to Xbox Game Pass on September 2 alongside its global release.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers can also look forward to the official 1.0 release of TCG Card Shop Simulator, as it will be available on the service as of September 15. Xbox is also offering a brand-new 10-hour trial of the upcoming NHL 27, with an option for subscribers to carry over their progress into the full release should they decide to purchase it. On top of these extras, Game Pass subscribers will also receive “an exclusive monthly reward pack” in the anticipated creature-collecting game Aniimo. The offer will be available as of September 16 for Xbox Game Pass users across all four tiers.
Xbox Game Pass Titles Confirmed for October 2026
- Gears of War: E-Day — October 6
- Echo Weaver — October 8
- Forever Ago — October 8
- Deep Dish Dungeon — October 13
- Valor Mortis — October 13
- Beyond These Stars — October 15
- The Seance of Blake Manor — October 27
- Terrible Lizards — October 29
The September lineup for the subscription service looks quite interesting, with options across contrasting genres. However, the upcoming October titles also seem intriguing, though only a handful have been revealed and confirmed so far. The biggest addition in October is perhaps Gears of War: E-Day, which is joining Xbox Game Pass as a day-one title. That said, a recent Xbox Game Pass leak has revealed that Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will likely come to the service at launch, which is set for October 15.
Under the new Xbox leadership, the Game Pass subscription is trying to remain a prominent part of the platform’s ecosystem, and it has already taken positive steps toward this goal, such as cutting prices. It remains to be seen how these new policies will affect the lineup of upcoming Game Pass titles and whether there will be any noticeable changes in Xbox’s strategy heading into the last quarter of 2026.
