Another Ghost of Yotei update is now available for download, having debuted in early October 2026. Identified by version number 2.07, the new release improves Ghost of Yotei with a handful of bug fixes, some of which deal with widely reported progression problems.
The new update debuted about a week after the October 1 launch of Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition. The content-complete version of the hit game introduced two major additions: a roguelite survival mode called Most Wanted and Echoes of Sekigahara, a new story expansion.
Ghost of Yotei Patch 2.07 Fixes More Complete Edition Issues
The 2.07 update started rolling out on October 9, with developer Sucker Punch Productions confirming as much in a social media update. The patch “further corrects” bugs capable of causing lost or blocked progress in Ghost of Yotei‘s Most Wanted mode. It also fixes a problem that could leave players stuck on a black screen after certain missions in Echoes of Sekigahara, along with issues preventing some content from being marked as complete. Various other unspecified bugs and crashes have also been addressed.

The wording of the announcement suggests that Most Wanted progression remains a particular focus for Sucker Punch following the Complete Edition launch. Patch 2.06 had already addressed multiple bugs affecting progress in the mode, with 2.07 thus serving as its logical continuation. That does not necessarily mean every related issue has now been eliminated, as Sucker Punch specifically describes the new patch as providing further corrections rather than a comprehensive fix for all possible progression problems in the new Ghost of Yotei DLC.
Reliable progress tracking is particularly important given Most Wanted’s overall structure. The mode lets players repeatedly tackle increasingly difficult bounties using one of four playable characters, earning perks during individual runs and spending its Mon currency between attempts on techniques, weapon upgrades, charms, and additional characters. Some cosmetic rewards earned through the mode also carry over to the main game, meaning any progression problems could potentially interfere with more than a single roguelike run. That notwithstanding, the 2.07 release should still feel the most relevant for Ghost of Yotei players currently working through Echoes of Sekigahara, Most Wanted, or both.
On a related note, the early October 2026 fixes may also be particularly beneficial to completionists. The Complete Edition added 11 trophies for Most Wanted and 12 for Echoes of Sekigahara, with several tied to completing specific activities. Most Wanted requires players to clear all six standard bounties before its Max Threat challenges become available, while Echoes includes trophies for objectives such as securing every Viper Storehouse and completing the Ashoro Foothills bounty chain. Most Wanted runs also cannot be manually saved. Although Sucker Punch has not said that patch 2.07 specifically fixes trophy unlocks, more reliable completion tracking should reduce one potential source of frustration for players pursuing 100% completion.
