New Zelda Release Officially Confirmed for September 17

The Legend of Zelda fans have a new release to look forward to on September 17. The Legend of Zelda is Nintendo’s second-biggest franchise, right behind Super Mario. The critically-acclaimed action-adventure series has delivered some of the absolute greatest video games of all time, with Ocarina of Time unlikely to ever lose its spot as the highest-rated game on Metacritic.

Some Zelda games have come close to toppling Ocarina of Time over the years, though. The near-universal acclaim enjoyed by Breath of the Wild saw it become the sixth-highest-rated game ever, while its follow-up Tears of the Kingdom landed in the 29th spot with a very impressive 96 overall rating. The level of player freedom in Tears of the Kingdom is unprecedented for the franchise, which is a big reason why it’s resonated so strongly with fans. And now the big Tears of the Kingdom enjoyers out there have a new release to check out come September 17.

Mineru’s Construct Amiibo Price and Release Date

  • Release Date: September 17, 2026
  • Price: $34.99

A new Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom amiibo is releasing on September 17 in the form of Mineru’s Construct. Mineru’s Construct looks to be one of the more advanced amiibo figures on the market, with a lot of detail, decent size, and poseable arms. The figure is compatible in various Zelda games, including Breath of the Wild and the spin-off game Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, where activating it nets players random items. Using the amiibo in Tears of the Kingdom also gives players random items, but more importantly, it unlocks a special fabric for Link’s paraglider in the game. Zelda fans interested in the Mineru’s Construct amiibo should note that it retails for $34.99.

For those unfamiliar with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that may be wondering about the backstory behind Mineru’s Construct, Mineru is the sister of King Rauru and one of the sage companions that players recruit in Tears of the Kingdom. Mineru’s Construct is basically a Zonai mech that can prove incredibly useful in Tears of the Kingdom‘s massive open world, and so to see it in amiibo form is a real treat.

Mineru’s Construct Isn’t the Only New Zelda Release Coming This Year

Mineru’s Construct in in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

While amiibo collectors and big fans of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are likely looking forward to the Mineru’s Construct amiibo, it’s safe to say that the vast majority of fans are more interested in learning about the franchise’s next game. Reputable leaks have let the cat out of the bag way ahead of time that the next Zelda game is none other than an Ocarina of Time remake, though the project still has yet to be officially announced by Nintendo at the time of this writing.

Nintendo will most likely host a Nintendo Direct presentation in June where it will unveil the Ocarina of Time remake. Chances are the Ocarina of Time remake will get its own line of amiibo figures as well, though that remains to be seen. Zelda fans will have to keep an eye out for more information in the meantime.
