Minecraft Player Builds Incredible Sailing Ship With Working Cannons

One talented Minecraft player has recreated the historic French ship Soleil Royal, giving it a blocky new look. Minecraft players often recreate impressive objects in the game, and this sailing ship build has stood out to many due to its attention to detail and many working cannons.

Despite being around since 2009, Minecraft continues to be one of the most popular games in the world. In fact, Mojang’s survival game was one of the top five most-played games on Xbox and PlayStation in 2025. One reason for this ongoing success comes from the continued support of the development team. Regular updates are released for Minecraft that add more content for players to check out. These game drops sometimes even include new blocks that give creative players new options for making eye-catching builds. Many of these creations are eventually shared online for the rest of the community to see.

Minecraft Player Creates Incredible Town Based on Red Dead Redemption 2

A Red Dead Redemption 2 fan puts an intriguing twist on one of the towns from the game by recreating it in the blocky world of Minecraft.

Minecraft Player’s Incredible Soleil Royal Build

One of these ingenious players is wunderharke500, who recently revealed their Soleil Royal build on Reddit. As seen in the short video, the player recreated the real-life French gun ship from 1670 in incredible detail. Using a plethora of blocks, they built the numerous sails and masts of the ship, along with replicating some of its more ornate elements. In addition, the Soleil Royal build included numerous gun ports, evidencing the role the real-life ship played during the Nine Years’ War. According to the wunderharke500, they created two versions of the ship, with one featuring 98 operational TNT cannons. These were shown off in the video, creating an impressive spectacle.

While Minecraft players often share unique creations on Reddit, this Soleil Royal build stood out to the game’s community. So far, the post has gained over 1.5K upvotes, with fans leaving comments praising the design. Additionally, some wished wunderharke500 would share the download link for the creation, so other players could check out the sailing ship in the game. Fortunately, the creator was quick to respond, revealing they would consider it once the interior of the ship was finished. Despite the incredible exterior, they claimed there was “still quite a lot to do.”

The Soleil Royal build is another example of what skilled players can accomplish when they set their minds to it. While Minecraft can be played like a survival game, part of its appeal is the freedom players have to express their creativity. Some other examples of recent player creations include a redstone Millennium Falcon from Star Wars and a recreation of Armadillo from Red Dead Redemption 2. These are only a couple of the numerous Minecraft projects that are shared on places like Reddit each day.

Minecraft’s Next Game Drop Is Seemingly Right Around the Corner

As players continue to build unique creations in the game, Mojang is preparing to add even more content via its next game drop. While an exact date has yet to be revealed, the developer has unveiled what to expect from the update. Specifically, new versions of baby mobs are coming to Minecraft. From the cuter designs for farm animals to new looks for baby zombies, many mobs are getting reworked designs. Several other new features include craftable name tags and golden dandelions to prevent baby mobs from growing up.

Fortunately, the release of the next game drop should be coming within the next month, so players will not have long to wait. In the meantime, the community will likely continue to share impressive Minecraft builds. Hopefully, these will inspire others to create things similar to wunderharke500’s Soleil Royal.
