An upcoming bundle will let fans get a Nintendo Switch 2 and a copy of Pokemon Pokopia in one package, but it’s not available everywhere. Nintendo has made good use of bundles to promote its latest console and its exclusive games, and as the system approaches its one-year anniversary, it doesn’t seem like that trend is going away anytime soon. Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to take advantage of this particular Switch 2 deal.
Nintendo reportedly discontinued the Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle in late 2025 to the dismay of many, though many retailers still appear to have some in stock. Thankfully, though, the company has released multiple other bundles and limited-time promotions to save on other games, something that may feel all the more valuable in light of worries over rising console and game costs. An offer combining a Switch 2 with Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 just dropped, and now there’s another one to look forward to later in the year, provided users are in the right part of the world.
A New Nintendo Switch 2 Console Model is Coming, But There’s a Catch
Less than a year after launch, a new version of Nintendo Switch 2 is coming, but not everyone will be able to get their hands on it.
New Pokemon Pokopia Switch 2 Bundle Will Launch in Australia and New Zealand in June
On May 4, the official Nintendo AU NZ account revealed a Pokemon Pokopia Switch 2 bundle launching on June 5, 2026. That date marks the one-year anniversary of the console’s launch, so it seems fitting to pair the system with the highest-rated Pokemon game of all time as a way to celebrate. For now, though, this deal appears to be limited to Australia and New Zealand. The post makes no mention of a global launch, and no other regional Nintendo accounts have confirmed that this bundle will be available in their respective areas at the time of writing.

This wouldn’t be the first time some regions got better deals on a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle than others. Not long after the console first came out, fans noticed that Mario Kart World bundles in some countries included a physical game, whereas this deal was only available with a digital copy elsewhere. It’s unclear if this new Pokopia bundle involves a digital or physical edition for now, as the post did not reveal many specifics, though the packaging design makes it look like a digital copy is more likely. In either case, though, it’s a nice surprise for anyone in Australia or New Zealand who was considering getting a Switch 2 and is interested in Pokopia.
The announcement also did not detail how much the offer would cost. However, previous bundles have hovered around the $500 USD mark, which means a $20 discount off a $70 game. It could be a good time to act on these deals when they arise, too, as analysts predict the Switch 2 may get more expensive in 2026 as the RAM crisis continues to raise the costs of core components. There’s no guarantee that a price hike will take place for now, but Nintendo has gone down that route in the past and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a future increase.

Regardless of what may happen in the future, Australian and New Zealand gamers may want to mark June 5 on their calendars. Those who’d prefer another game over Pokopia are still in luck, too, as the region also has a new Mario Kart World bundle with a free year of Nintendo Switch Online, which is not available elsewhere. These promotions may end up expanding to other areas down the line, but for now, it’s a good time to be a Nintendo fan in Australia or New Zealand.
